Shreveport, Louisiana, (August 11, 2024) – The National Association of Gospel Radio (NAGR) is proud to announce a major step forward in its mission to advance, preserve, and protect gospel radio across the United States. NAGR is expanding its reach by appointing State Directors in key regions, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts to support and strengthen gospel radio stations nationwide.
The newly appointed State Directors will play a crucial role in amplifying the voice of gospel radio in their respective states. Their responsibilities include fostering relationships with local gospel radio stations, advocating for the interests of the gospel music community, and ensuring that the rich tradition of gospel music continues to thrive on the airwaves. This initiative is part of NAGR’s broader strategy to enhance the visibility and influence of gospel radio at both the state and national levels.

By expanding its leadership team through the appointment of State Directors, NAGR is reinforcing its dedication to this mission, ensuring that gospel radio stations have the support and resources they need to continue their important work.
Over 30 State Directors were recommended and selected based on their wealth of experience, making them well-equipped to champion the cause of gospel radio in their communities. They will receive their official certificates of appointment during the national Radio Convention in Memphis, Tennessee, August 28th-31st of this year. States covered include California, Nevada, Washington, Arizona, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
