THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GOSPEL RADIO ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS PROFESSIONALS

Shreveport, Louisiana, (August 8, 2024) – The National Association of Gospel Radio (NAGR) is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP). This collaboration is specifically designed to engage students majoring in communication who have aspirations in the radio industry, with a particular focus on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Through this partnership, NAGR aims to create a robust pipeline of opportunities for aspiring radio professionals, including:

1.     Engagement with HBCUs: NAGR will work closely with HBCUs to identify and support communication students who have a passion for radio, offering them unique opportunities to develop their skills and gain industry insights.

2.     Scholarships: NAGR will provide scholarships to deserving students, helping to alleviate the financial burden of their education and allowing them to focus on honing their craft in communication and radio.

3.     Student Memberships: Eligible students will be granted memberships to NAGR, giving them access to a wealth of resources, networking opportunities, and professional development tools that are crucial for their career growth.

4.     Training at the National Radio Convention: Students will have the chance to attend and participate in NAGR’s national radio convention, where they will receive hands-on training, attend workshops, and network with industry professionals, enhancing their practical knowledge and industry connections.
