Shreveport, Louisiana, (August 5, 2024) — ImpactU, the nation’s leader in personal and professional development programs, is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the National Association of Gospel Radio (NAGR). This collaboration aims to empower NAGR affiliates with advanced professional development and innovative revenue development strategies.
As part of this partnership, ImpactU is providing a historic $1 million in soft skills training scholarships for NAGR to distribute to its members and affiliate stations all over the United States. This substantial investment underscores ImpactU’s commitment to fostering growth and excellence within the gospel radio community. NAGR will be distributing the scholarships to Title One Schools in the areas served by its affiliated stations; which will raise awareness for the need to combat emotional deficiencies plaguing youth throughout the United States.
Dr. DL Wallace, CEO of ImpactU, expressed his dedication to these initiatives, inspired by the remarkable leadership of NAGR President, Pastor Charles E. Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana. Pastor Johnson, known for his visionary guidance of KOKA Radio station, has been a driving force in advancing gospel radio.
“We are immensely enthused to partner with NAGR and contribute to the professional and personal growth of its affiliates and the communities they serve,” said Dr. DL Wallace. “Pastor Johnson’s unwavering commitment to empowering those who serve in the Gospel Radio Industry is uplifting, and we are honored to support his vision through this partnership.”
Pastor Charles E. Johnson, affectionately known as Pastor CeJay, shared his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with ImpactU represents a significant step forward for NAGR and its affiliates. This generous $1 million dollar in-kind donation is a game-changer for gospel radio as it provides the training opportunities that will equip our members with the skills they need to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. I am grateful for Dr. DL Wallace’s steadfast support and look forward to the incredible impact we will achieve together.”
In addition to these initiatives, NAGR has been invited to participate in the ImpactU Leadership Retreat in Cancun, Mexico, from October 10-14th. This trip will offer NAGR members valuable opportunities for learning, networking, and professional development in a dynamic and breathtaking environment.
This partnership between ImpactU and NAGR is poised to create lasting positive change within the gospel radio community, driving excellence and innovation for years to come.
